Stolen hounds

Maverick, Choco, Goldie and Kody on tree
I lost my red & white Kody and black Maverick dogs in Moon Lake Canyon above Mountain Home Utah on the South Slope of the Uinta Mountans last friday on a bear. Been after them ever since and found both tracking collars in a pond near the Mountain Home turn off near Altamont today. Both dogs are gone and the DWR and Sheriff Departments were called in to investigate.
A reward is offered for their safe return.
Contact the country Sheriff, UDWR or myself with any information.

I certainly hope you get them back, don't give up on looking for them! Thou it has not happened to me but there have been cases of people taking the collars off of dogs tossing them down and such and letting the dog loose.
Again, I hope you get them back.
What type of so called houndsmen would infict this much drama to another man. Countless hours traveling along roads looking for hounds not to mention the abscence of two friends. There is no doubt that ike is a houndsmen that takes a lot of pride in his pack you only have to read his posts and enjoy his pics across the boards to know that. And some rotten snake goes steals two dogs why? Jealously, envy or plain stupidity. Hope your hounds are returned safe and sound ike.
Sambar...
Dennis,
I hated to even open this thread. I hope you get them back, and do everything according to the law in doing so. This just flat out stinks.

Good luk on gettin ur hounds back, had the same thing happen to me last yr luckily the word was spread enough an they ended sitting mine out, without any collars but enough people knew I was lookin so they picked them up an gave me a call
Oh Dennis...
... this is one of the worst threads ever... All we can do is send thoughts and prayers that those 2 hounds of yours get back HOME to you! SO SORRY to read this....
Best of luck and God Speed, Heather

Sounds to me Dennis that you're dealing with an anti "tree hugger" Comes across the dogs picks them up, removes collars and throws them in a pond, and then will more than likely take the dogs a fair distance away and turn them loose, no id collars nothing...
I know you've more than likely done it but I'd check every dog pound within a 50 mile or so radius. Hope they turn up Dennis and you get them back none the worse for wear.
Pete
That is a terrible and desperate feeling. I had my best plott stolen 4 yrs ago and unfortunately know what you are going through. Best of luck and we will all be hoping for their safe return.

Thanks Joe, and it's $5000 here and the Sheriff Department was told eight to ten thousand combined value.
But the good news is I put out some fliers Monday and today and a guy telephoned that he had them this afternoon. Dogs are now home safe. Thanks for all the support.......

I know you are one happy man, and a ton of worry and greif has been lifted off ur heart. I hope that the person that took the dogs gets all thats coming to him, and an example is made of them.
So glad things worked out and the dogs are back home.
Excellent news that you now have your hounds back but gee hope the issue gets resolved for you. Can't have the thought of someone stealing hounds every time you turn them loose

GOOD NEWS, IKE
Glad to hear they are home. Let us know how the investigation turns out. Dogs are home, but how the heck did the collars end up in the pond if all was on the up and up?

Congrats Dennis on getting your family members back. It made me sick to think of them in someone else's hands. Glad it worked out well.
