Garmin Alpha Question

Hi Everyone,

Yep, I have been pretty much off grid for awhile. I got me a new Alpha just before Garmin came out with their new model. I really like how easily the new unit works. My problems is I let the unit dangle, and it has a mind of its own. It takes me far down a rabbit hole I would normally avoid. Just before quiet time, I lost my bird's eye view. I know there is the little icon on the screen that hides bird's eye view. The thing is that is now gone. I tried several things without any luck.

I am hoping to get out and run the dog this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions how I might get my bird's eye back?

Thanks in advance.

Larry

If your Birdseye is loaded onto an SD card, you might try removing the card and re-inserting it, Mr. Atherton.
I would also suggest using the screen lock function. I always lock mine when I’m not looking at it. Keeps from buttons being pressed and dogs getting shocked or toned on accident. Just press and release the power button on the side, it will be on the bottom right of the brightness screen.

Thank you, that worked. Hmmm screen lock, I have muttered why doesn't this thing have a screen lock more than a few times. I will try that tonight.

I have to admit there is so many different things on them I just don't bother with 97% of the stuff. I want it to simply to track my dog.

Thanks again.
