Question about rule. 6. (r) For use of scoring aids other than light or mechanical squallers. Laser pointer light is permitted.

I’m guessing this includes Mirrors and cell Phones. My question is are they scratched for looking up a hole with either? Or are they scratched because they plus a tree using? If the owner wanted to look up the hole checking for coon or off game for his satisfaction is he scratched?

Is he scratched for carrying a mirror? Cell phone?

You can carry your phone, mirror and even night vision equipment in the woods you just can't use it in the aid of scoring. Yes, violating this does cause you to be scratched.

I would assume that "for your own satisfaction" wouldn't be "aid in scoring". But using a thermal, mirror or cell phone to locate coon during scoring time and then attempting to get it plussed would be.
