What makes a alpha 100 just all of a sudden deletedog tracks,I have it set on 2hours but it does it multiple times in one hunting trip

Not Bruce but I would suggest clearing out all tracks. Memory is probably full.

I agree with preacher tom. When the unit gets overloaded with info it has to clear out info to store more. Also when the units start just shutting down the same is true plus a possible mat card problem.

Clear old dog tracks
Clear old handheld tracks
Clear old archived tracks.

All cleared at different locations. I have had hundreds of people tell me they cleared all that info only to bring it here and they missed quite a bit.
