Feeder

I'm getting a pup, late winter early spring. I have the perfect woods to put a coon feeder in. Eventually the pup will be ran on bear and cat. However I'd like to start it on coon. My question is, does anyone have an idea on how to minamalize possum activity? Or is that impossible? I was thinking a bucket with a lid and a very small hole in the middle of the lid? Thinking that for the most part only coon would dip in the hole with their paws? I sure welcome all ideas and opinions. Thank you!

I got some old tractor tires hanging from trees off the ground about 3 feet. Seems to be working from keeping the grinners out.

.

Take a 55 gallon barrel cut it in half that will make two feeders fill it about half full of corn and then fill it up with water till the water is about two inches over the corn . coons love it I have ran trail cameras over some and iv never seen a possum deer turkey nothing but coons and a grey squirrel ever now and then of the day
