cajun 26 volt stinger belt light problem

my light will not work long on any low settings. will only work on high. how can i fix this. it will come on in a low setting, then fade out after a few seconds. what causes this? dead cell?

What head you using, if it's a 5100 sounds like you are on the high side of bulb try rotating the switch on the head,
