-- 8 month Female (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928420868)
8 month Female
I have an 8 month old female that I've been hunting on and off due to it being summer but I don't want her setting up for so long. So towards the end of winter I starter taking her out with my 7 y/o and she ran great for her age. Then I got a 1 y/o male with limited hunting experience and they both just walk around even when my male strikes a trail. Is it that she's not independent enough and wants to follow an older dog, or limited hunting experience.

He's not hunting and she looking to play would be my guess
I watched them on the Garmin last night. The older male struck within a few minutes of walking and they all 3 followed the track. The older male followed it and the female and male just went off in another direction real slow. They just walked around. But the female has ran as hard as she could by herself and the 7 y/o. I just wanted to run them altogether but it seems like the younger male is a big problem.
