Just to clarify
When I say den in my country I'm talking big timber with obvious sign of a coon living there.A tree with a hole in it is not always a den.a coon will go in a hole just to hide from the dog in that case I climes up a take a look.I understand not everyone can or will do this.remember when your out hunting there is no-one timing you if your dog takes the time and effort to tree you should take the time and effort to give ever tree a honest look by any means necessary. Again this way is not for everyone. Some trees don't take much effort to find the coon and some do.This is just the way I score trees not saying it is right or better just my way.that is the best thing about pleasure hunting no rules.
Well, if your hunting with me you are not climbing any tree. I do not care how agile you are.
I aint climbing any tree. Dont care if my dog took all night to tree it. I hunt alot by myself and my dog is pretty darn accurate. 6 trees in two nights and i seen 6 coons. So ill give him the benifit of doubt when he trees a den.
