dc40 blue light when charging ???

whats the blue light suppose to do when you hook up the charger?.
does it come on solid? go out when charged? flash ? or what.

When charging the blue light on my 40 is blinking, and when fully charged it stays solid blue.

the one I have just blinks forever it doesn't ever go solid.
but it shows fully charged on the info page.
