question for Allen or somebody

How come there isn't a way to title bear dogs like you can coondogs???? I mean i realize its not practical to have like actual bear hunts operated like night hunts but i see no reason why there can't be bear field trials or water races???? Just sayin id like to do more with my bear dogs than drive a couple hours for a bench show......

We do allow any Field Trials or Water Races to be ran with bear scent instead of coon scent. Very popular feature at Plott Days and NPHA sectionals all over the country. You just have to get the club officials to use that type of scent for it.

In fact, our Field Trial and Water Race rules allow for coon, bear, or cat scent to be used. Then you can use a coon, lion, bobcat, or bear hide (or decoy) at the home tree.

Maybe you could get interest up in your local clubs for having big game Field Trials and Water Races. Most of them probably have not even considered hosting one or aren't aware they can.

Good luck!
