Pup question??

I have a 8 month pup treeing coons by himself but he never barks on track only at tree .. Never had this happen before , all my hounds have always track barked first and took awhile to get treeing . Should I keep hunting him or get another hound??

You got to remember he's only 8 months old! I've started a few, that at a young age didn't say much or were dead silent, but with age and hunting they started opening some, and opening more on track. I would give him some time, he may start opening on track the more you hunt him, but then again he may never open on track, and be dead silent! Time will tell, patience is the #1 thing when dealing with pups and young hounds.
