Has anyone on here had toe decompression surgery? If you have, what was the recovery like?

Marcus I am having problems with my big toes. The mechanics are not right in my feet. Basically, my joints that are closest to my feet are too high. This causes my big toes to jam when I walk. If they can not correct it with inlays; they want to cut across the joint, put the bone in alignment and screw them in place. Six weeks of recovery time, with the first two weeks getting around on crutches. If it comes to that, I will do one over Christmas and the other over the summer.
