rambo II

i have 2 yr old rambo II dog .just got him this week ,very timid, .was wandering if this is a trait or man made.differaent dog in woods than pen,also very hard to catch, except at tree.just wanting to know if he is worth puting time into.

We had a Rambo II female, just turned 3 when we sold her, she was not that way at all. Matter of fact she would act like a pup when you went to the pen to her. Run around and run toward you and VERY happy to see you! Loved to be messed with. Seems your dog might have had a bad experience at one time, sorry to say. Hope he will come out of it. If he is a coondog I would take the time to see if he changes with you handling him. Good luck with him.
