Register my coon hound
I have a female walker hound who is not registered. Her mom is registered and her dad is registered, through UKC. However, I don't have either of their papers. She is purebred and passes all the qualifications (height, weight, markings, and teeth.) How do I go about getting her registered.
I talked to a hound guy and he said we need to find a hound master but I have No idea where I would find one.
Can any one please help me? Thanks
Tt

If the sire and dam are registered with UKC, this dog can not be single registered. If you know both sire and dam, it can be registered. Call the UKC and they can help guide you to where you need to be. I had the same thing happen once, on a dog i knew nothing of mom and pop, accept they were registered, and i never did get papers on my dog. ONE THING TO REMEMBER, you have to sign an afftadavit saying you know this dog can't be registered any other way to single it out. If the find different, you could wind up taking time off from hunting and no one wants that.
Allen can explain it fully to you. I would try to get it done in the normal relm first. If you know the sire and dam, it will probably be simple.
