hoarse bark on a feist
I have a 7 year old feist that has been a really good hunting dog, but here in the past year his voice sounds hoarse and when he gets deeper than 180 yards I can barely hear him. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I've seen older dogs loose their voice as they get older.I have a friend that had a cur that was around 9 or 10 and she didn't have much bark at all.She was one good tree dog you just couldn't hear her if she got out very far.
bark
try not to let the dog bark much and also if you got the dog tied out on a chain when they pull on there neck it hurts there voices when they do that ... i hope this help...
