DC 40 problems

My DC 40 was working great then it started to loose connection at about 280 yards and is useless. Has anyone ever had this problem or is my luck just kicking in? I hear the DC 30 has more range than the 40, but mine was doing fine. I have tried the update but it didnt help at all.

Sounds like it could be the antenna on the collar. That is about the range that my 30's started losing signal when my antenna's went bad. If possible I would try to borrow another collar antenna and try it or just go ahead and order a tuff-skin antenna.

I was told they had a problem with these antenas and i needed to call so they could send me a new one. Its only a few months old.
