Walker Game Ear

Hey all, being I love whitetail hunting both bow and gun I have seen this Walker Game Ear advertised a lot on the Outdoor Channel and it peaked my curiosity. I know it ain't cheap but supposed to help you hear Turkey gobble and deer walking from a distance some people on TV swear by it.

Has anybody on here used one and have they tried it at night to be able to hear hounds from a distance. I figured I might spring for one since I could use it for both if it worked good.

Then it brings up the question would it be legal in a nite hunt or is it an unfair advantage? I don't competion hunt much just wondered. Got a couple buddies their hearing isn't what it used to be so might help them retrieve hounds if they got out a ways!

Any info appreciated.

Before you could use one in a nite hunt, you would have to have a doctors statement saying that you are hearing impaired and have to fill out various paperwork forms for UKC in order to use one.

can help

Last year for dove season my son and I wore electroinic hearing protection and what a difference it made on those 100 round days.
One of my buds picked up the game ear with auto cuttoff, he loved it and infact now wears it anytime he is hunting with a gun. The upper end ones do a better job of cutting off and keeping wind noise out.
He also wore his for bow season to get a bit of edge for those deer sneaking around behind him. He now swears by them.
Hope this helps
