why can we hunt the american leopard hound "cur" and we cant hunt any other breed of curs or am i wrong

The cur is not a cur
The so called leopard cur cold trails and open trails which UKC recognized as fitting the hound standard rather than cur. The Leopard Hound is now the 7th breed of Hound recognized by UKC.
HOUNDY
Leopards are hound like in looks and in huntin actions. They do everything a hound can ,but they have two qualitys that are different from hounds. They tend to hunt to please their master not themselfs [ much like a birddog would ], and they dont have to go 2 miles to tree a coon [ they tend to hunt in 100 yard circles and check back in ]. This makes them ideal pleasure dogs, plus they have a head full of brains, [ very humanlike qualitys ]. With todays lack of huntin land , they could be the hound of the future. GOD BLESS YALL.
