How old shold they be before you start working with them

I start working all my pups at 6 to 8 monthes

I've seen people do drags and caged coons before 6 but I like my dogs to learn to use their nose ill drag a caged coon around and let the pup hit the track and tree it and shoot it dead and let them have fun
