Any Ideas?

I just bought a walker male coonhound and he trees hard and runs a really nice track. He is ready for hunts but he has one problem and it is he climbs trees... I took just got home from hunting him and he went in and set treed tonight and sure enough he was ten feet in the air. He fell out cut his leg up alittle bit but jumped right back up in the tree.. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get him to quit climbing or to break him of it.

climbing

you know what is eventually going to happen with a climber,so i get on this right away. if you get there and he is up in a tree within reach, just reach up there and haul him out of there hard--speed up his fall if you know what i mean.if i have to climb to get him,i will put the leash on and then yank him loose and let him hang just off the ground till he bout passes out.sounds harsh because it is, but it is effective and much better than falling out when you arent there to help him or worse yet you falling out climbing up there to get him down.i have used this method on several and it works.
