Rule Scenario

All dogs are struck in and A & B are treed. On the way to those dogs, Dog C is treed. Shine time starts for A & B. With a few seconds left on C's tree, Dog D is called treed. It takes a majority to score a tree so what do you do? Dogs C & D is quite a ways and the cast is 3 minutes into the shine time on Dogs A & B.

My guess is you stop the shinetime. handle C&D and then resume shinetime when the other two handlers return. That is how I have done it. The hunt time continues through all this.

We generally finish shining the tree and then go handle the rest of the dogs. I treed my dog one night when she was about 50 yards from us shining a tree squalling and all, and I didn't go handle her until that tree was dead. It can be done either way, but it's pretty risky unless you know your dog is pressure proof.
