Cold in a dogs eyes
I got a blood hound from a guy a few weeks ago and he has cold in his eyes pretty bad. Is there somthing I can get to put in them to help this problem?
Clean often with a warm wet wash cloth it might help.

From the feed store, or a large animal vet, get a tube of Special Formula, made by Pfizer - it's an udder treatment for dairy cows, and only a couple of dollars a tube. It will clear up just about any kind of an eye infection, including pinkeye. Just squeeze a little bit of it in each eye once or twice a day, after cleaning all the gunk off with a warm washcloth. I started using it on the advice of my vet, and it works wonders when you're not sure what the cause is.
The other possibility is that he has entropian (that's where some of the eyelashes turn in the wrong way and rub against the eyeball), so if you don't see a big improvement within a week or so, I would get him checked by a vet and see if that's the problem (if it is, it requires surgery to fix).
