I have heard politicians say some odd things, but

this is just plain stupid.

"Sending National Guard to the U.S. border of Mexico is "premature and possibly counterproductive," but reviving the assault weapons ban would help end the drug-related violence in Mexico, Sen. John Kerry said Monday."

Are these people really educated, or do they just live in a void some where? Yep, we have an assault weapons ban and the drug dealers are going to stop and say wait a minute maybe we better stop and rethink our violent behavior.
