? for nc dog hunters

i was just reading a post written for the va hunting dog alliance. they are a state wide huntingdog advocacy group. does nc have such a group? i shouldn't have to ask that question. if there is one, i should know about it and if there isn't, there should be. but if there is such a group, i want to support it. thanks!

I think there is one North Carolina Coonhunting Association. And I agree we all need to join one and support it. We are members of the Va hunting dog alliance. I don't have any contact information but ask someone at one of your local clubs.

North Carolina Coonhunters Assn

Here's the website,
http://www.nccoonhunters.com/index.html

The association is member club supported meaning if you are a member of a UKC club you are likely a member of the state assn....most (maybe all?) UKC clubs are members. You can also get a single membership but if you are a member of a UKC club that makes you an automatic member.

We have an article in Bloodlines 6 to 8 months out of the year, including the past issue and i have already submitted an article for next month as well.

The State assn puts on the State Championship Coonhunt/Bench Show, and the State Championship Youth Hunt/Show. David Gardin is our President.

Most folks think that the hunts are all the assn does, but actually we fight and work for legislation as well, we maintain a working relationship with the NC Wildlife Resources Commision, and we have built/are building a war chest fund to battle anti-hound, anti-dog, anti-hunting legislation.

Based on you location you may know the Kenansville Club? If so Mr. Frank Brown was or is a Board member (? ) and he could tell you more about your state assn.
