Hunt Director requirements?

Can a club appoint just anyone to be Hunt Director at a hunt or does a Hunt Director need to qualify with the same requirements as a MOH?

There are no tests or anything of that nature to qulify as a Hunt Director. A hunt Director is not required to be licensed through UKC. A Hunt Director does not need to be approved by the UKC. It is the responsibility of the host club/organization to assign a qualified individual to take on the responsibilities of a Hunt Director.

We realize that there may be many questions along this line and that's perfectly fine. But just FYI the new rulebook will have a lot more info along these lines. The new rulebooks are out and will be mailed with all December Coonhound Bloodline subscriptions.

A few more notes:

The new rulebook will also have separate instructions for the HD. In addition, there will be a section on panels as well.
