One of the important functions of the Treeing Walker Breeders and Fanciers Association's affiliation with the United Kennel Club is that all single registrations of Treeing Walker hounds is coordinated through this association.
Single registration is only open during certain times of the year and must be coordinated through TWB&FA.
Each year Single Registration of the Treeing Walker Coonhound will be open from March 1 through May 31.
The first step in single registration is to contact:
Melvin Myers
Route #1, Box 4-A
Boley, Oklahoma, 74829
918-667-3603
Hounds may be single registered only if the following conditions are met:
1. Dog must meet the official breed standard as provided by the Treeing Walker Breeders and Fanciers Association and United Kennel Club Inc.
2. Dog must be able to strike, trail, and tree a racoon and remain treed for a minimum of 5 minutes. This must be witnessed by an approved inspector assigned by the TWBFA. Any Association Officer, Director and/or any UKC Master of Hounds can serve as your inspector to verify that your dog looks like and meets the standards of the TWBFA. It is the applicants responsibility to ensure that the inspector signs all required pictures and the application.
3. Three (3) pictures of the dog must be returned with the application. One picture of the right side of the dog, one picture of the left side of the dog, and one head on view of the dog. These pictures must be signed by the inspector
4. Dogs must have a known three generation pedigree and pass the Treeing Walker Standards, make sure that you include the date of birth of the dog. DO NOT WRITE "UNKOWN" ON PEDGREE FOR THE OWNER OF THE SIRE OR DAM.
5. You must be a current member of the TWBFA, dues payable at the time the single registration application is submitted. Dues are currently $20.00 per year. The UKC single registration fee must be paid at the time the single registration application is submitted. UKC single registration fee is $40.00, separate funds for this fee must be included with registration application. The TWBFA "service fee" for single registration is $15.00.. Total amont for single registration is $75.00. Canadian members should only send money orders marked U.S. Dollars.
6. Once all the above conditions are met, the signed pictures, application, and funds must be sent to Melvin Myers for final processing.
Thanks Buckshot, that is exactly what I needed.
