Bench Show

I have a 6 Month old Redbone and all we have ever done with our other coon dogs is just train them to tree a coon, but with this one I want to teach her how to show and I am basically starting from scratch and I could use some helpful Tips?

Spend a few minutes a day on the bench or anywhere when you're playing around . Try to set her like you see in the pictures of winners in the magazine. Be firm -not rough and don't expect instant results as it takes time just like the rest of it does. When you go to an event you may want to practise her while others are working their dogs before the show as this is free and gets them used to being around strange dogs and people. It's a military look with everything straight and squared up and proud. Good luck.

Best 2 tips I can give you

REPETITION and EXERCISE

Go to a show and I am sure someone will be glad to help you get started. Take the pup to a show and after the show ask if some would be willing to help you set them up. Let them show you it is easier than trying to read it here and then doing it. Once you have an idea start workig with them everyday.
I work my young dog on the bench everyday for about 10-15 mins.
