House dogs

I had a fiest that slept on the bed with my wife and I. I put her to sleep two years ago she had Addisons Disease. She treed many a squirrel for me. She logged alot of miles in the mountains when we rode our mules. If you did'nt live here you could'nt get close to my grand kids or me. She was a good one.

I have a 65# one in the kennel that I got back 3 mos ago that I let out twice a day to do his business. I was gone a day and a half and he didn't do a thing in the kennel during that time. He has much better control than I do. LOL

I've got 2 Kemmer Curs, 2 Blueticks, and a feist that all live inside. Wouldn't have it any other way! I think it's good to house train them or at least crate train them for just in case/emergency type situations.

i have two that live inside and sleep in our bed. it were just me, i'd rip up the carpeting and all five would be living indoors. a couple of big dogs will sure warm up a bed and they are always ready to go to bed when i am and like whatever i'm eating. i dont' know if it makes them better or worse hunters because none of mine are worth a hill of beans anyway.

lol a dog may not like the way you or your house smells either . I have all ways kept them in the house for a while outside of making them handle like a dream I see no harm in the way they hunt except for maybe a little harder than the outside dogs .

I have my 11 year old semi retired hound in the house along with my Mt Cur. They are not allowed on the furniture and I have laminate flooring so not much a dog hair problem. They listen better then most peoples children..

3 of my other 4 hounds are crate broke so they can come inside and sleep quietly if need be.

I got 5 in the house. 2 Ladner BMC, 1 Walker, 1 Bluetick and 1 Red tick. The Curs and the Walker are in the house all the time. The other two are out in the kennel while I work and back in the house in the evenings. You'll never have a better handling dog then a house dog!

I have no carpet in my home, all vinyl. Cleans up well and their aint' no dog smell.

Excuse the puppy porn...lol In the house for sure! I would not have it any other way! They have a much better handle and you really bond with the dog. It is a win win IMO.

My cur( well now our boys cur) is a hunting/house dog. I. Love the security of having a 60# dog in the house. The only bad I see in it is if it's extremely hot or cold he doesn't do as well as the outside dogs. You know your dog a lot better when you live with them. I can tell you almost every time what he is barking at or treeing before I ever see it.

Bubbas, In the house, sure beats life on the end of a chain, which is where most Cur dogs end up.
