Don't feel bad Roy, Ive lost to all but the last 2 at one time or another, not had the privilage of Chubby kickin my --- yet, Not sure I could take that unless Denny was handling him. LOL!!! Heard alot of good things about him and Oscar just never got to see un go YET.

Personaly I think that they should have to do more than win one big hunt to be in the hall of fame. I think more of a dog that has reproduced a bunch of great dog's.jmo Although alot of them mentioned have thrown a lot of great pup's.

I AGREE BUT I BET YOU MY LAST DOLLAR IF THEY WON THE WORLD THEY WON PLENTY OF OTHER HUNTS AND PROBABLY MADE SOME FINE PUPS ALONG THE WAY. ANYONE KNOW ANY OF THESE HOUNDS THAT ARNT IN THE HALL OF FAME THAT HAVE WON SOME OTHER BIG HUNTS

I know OLN covered it in 2001, Because my Skip dog won Opp Sex world Show Champion and Morgan nairated the tape AFTER the show and told everyone he "kinda liked my dog" to make it sound like he knew who was gonna win. LOL!!!! Not bashing Todd just bringing up "OL MEMORIES" LOL!!!!!

Why are these dogs not in the Hall of Fame? Answer is simple - They got to be nominated before they can be voted in.

Some are in, most are not. I beleive that the ones who have been nominated have gotten in. I say this because just a month ago I was on here several times asking for nominations for people and hounds to be nominated. We recieved only 8 dogs and 4 people. I thank those that took the time to nominate and encourage everyone to take the time to nominate next year. No one should complain if they wont take the time to nominate.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO MY COMMENT NEGATIVELY. IT IS NOT MEANT TO ATTACK ANYONE BUT JUST THE OPPOSITE. IT IS MEANT TO BRING THE AWARENESS THAT WE ALL NEED TO BE INVOLVED.

Win more than one big hunt?? Really?? That big hunt is what we all strive for and the dog that wins it should be in the hall of fame. Please tell me what do they need to do then?
Not all dogs that won world are in hall of fame, I was at NHBA days last year and a World Champion did not get in, over dogs that have accomplished what? Not trying to be negative but come on .

Not that its right but i think some people look at the owner of a dog just as much as they do the dog. If a person is known as a cheater or a pain in the rear dont think people are likely to vote on the dog.

As for Lady, Not only did she win the World but she has also reproduced excellence. The kind of hound that should be in the Hall Of Fame. Can't get in unless you nominate her. Hard thing for someone else to do unless they have all the facts and virtues of the dog and its offspring.

Winning one major event does not meet the criteria to get in the Hall Of Fame. There are many dogs at every world hunt that are capable of winning even though only one earns the title. The dog that wins the World can easily go to a small local hunt the next weekend and get beat. That is the nature of running dogs.

Passing on exellence in BOTH physical structure and hunt traits are things I consider the most. In my opinion those dogs have made the most positive impact on the breed as a whole. Who owns the dog makes no difference to me. Same as when I judge a dog on the bench.
