Southern Redbone Days

Is the Virginia Cartel going to be the only ones at Southern Redbone Days this year? It seems that we are being overshadowed by the Winter Classic since both hunts are being held on the same weekend this year.

It says the classic is feb 10-11 and SRD is 17-18

Oh my goodness, getting old is hell. I can still go to the Winter Classic! I had better call my boss and put in for another couple of days vacation.

Is Justin going to be the only other person planning on going besides the Cartel? Are y'all afraid? Whatever happened to that Wingy guy? I heard that Gus has gotten too old and Danny Barrett has quit hunting. So I guess that we won't have to worry about them.

Bond has Storm ready to go. She got a first place win at a warm up hunt in Va last night. Bond told me that he and Storm will be kicking ass and taking names. He has been mad ever since Linkous won high scoring female all three nights with Sheba back in 2013. But then Sheba and Storm's mother are both out of Gr Nt Ch Long Tall Sally and Sheba's Sire and Storm's mother's sire is Gr Nt Ch Rabble. So I guess that winning is in her genes.

And I guess that Mike Mayo is hiding out but he will be at Southern Days with Storm's littermate brother Nt Ch Billy who just won high scoring Redbone male at The Grand American. Wendy will be having a litter of pups so I will have to bring Billy and Storm's nephew Daniel.

I would not count out Danny or Rex…Rex is probably laid up in that holler where he lives and I am sure he has something brewing. And those two team up and are hard to beat. When they show up , you had better be ready. Me. I am not gonna hunt in 6 degree weather…I can do that here..I heard it was that cold down there last year. And it is all according to the work schedule and money. I got some junk tied up out back that can maybe tree a coon or two and maybe a possum or kill a skunk. I won't go hungry that's for sure. Actually, temps were in the 30's at night last year and the weatherman is predicting the same for this year so come on down.

I heard that mr mike jarbo will be their. Heck maybe my old pot licker will be able to get our picture taken if the crowds down lmao... Na I never do anygood when the crowds down I like the see big crowds

Mark, Danny said that you could count him out. He is just too old and lazy to keep up any more. But Kenneth Hurst will be there with a Gus pup. And Rex said that you just can't win with those Fireball dogs.
Terry Ramey says that he is coming with Skeeter.
Only 2 more weeks now. The weatherman is saying that temps should be nice for Feb with highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's.

Weatherman says 58 for high and 37 for low on Thursday. Y'all can't use weather for an excuse this year. If you have a good dog come on down. If you don't come on down and hang out, eat some grilled oysters and visit anyway.

Pup Derby

Is there going to be a pup derby??? I thought there had been pup derbies in the past…If so, what are the ages. Richard…Danny gets Rex to handle his dogs. Just look at past pictures of the winners of Redbone hunts. Danny is a smart man. I would get Rex to handle for me if I could. He wins. And who said anything about Fireball. Fireball was 30 years ago. I don't live in then past. My dogs have everything else in them, Sandy Creek Jake, Red Ice, Doc, Banjo III, Shesa Freak, Guitars ghost, Mississippi, Pebbels, Sawblade, Mandy II, But I do not see any FIREBALL. I can't worry bout things from 30 years ago…. Now February 17, 18 & 19… That's even a little to far away for me to make plans…I will know on Feb 16th if I am going… I plan for the present and the future, not the past. Lucas.

Where has Mr Wingler been? Adam are you not going to hunt anything at SRD? Isn't it in your back yard?

time is running down quick. IM finally able to get old x back in the woods after his terrible injury before the grand American so cracking down an raining the fur out tunning. Hope to see everyone their an have three nights of great fellowship win or loos.

Weatherman says the high will be 62 on Sat. Better bring a t-shirt. Good fellowship is what Southern Redbone Days has always been all about. There isn't room to spread out so everyone is all together.

Richard, what you gonna be packing? This young hotshot named Daniel? And are you also going to the winter classic?

Yes, I will hunt Daniel but he is not a powerhouse yet. He is trying but has a long way to go before he reaches powerehouse status. And I am going to try to run down to Batesville Sat.

Weatherman is still saying that this will be a beautiful weekend. It is going to be sunny and highs in the high 50's to low 60's. You sure can't use the weather as an excuse this year.
