Am I thinking wrong

Guys if I am looking at this wrong tell me, Here's the deal, Guy let's a kid handle his dog in a youth hunt, I won't go into detail what the guy did during the hunt, but the kid ends up winning the hunt. The boy gets a trophy, new light & leash. The guy takes the light & trophy, kids gets leash. People donate prizes for the kids, not adults. It was nice of the guy to let him hunt his dog but come on. Am I wrong or is this guy a jackass?

Totally right. That guy needs to be called out, unless they had a deal made before the hunt. Now if he took it and the kid really wanted it and no deal was struck...

Kids Hunt

That's just pathetic. Not only would I have given the kid what THEY earned I would have bought the kid other things to show how I appreciated their help and keep them interested in the sport.

Sounds like to me the owner of the dog is a bigger "kid" than the kid that won the hunt...grown man taking the winnings from a kid???? If I was the kids parent I would call him out by asking him just how much money he wanted to go ahead and give the kid the trophy and light that he won. Sometimes you have to say or do something that makes the adult feel really stupid before they realize "this aint the way to be acting."

Well there's always two sides to every story but I can't imagine that kid not wanting his trophy, its his/hers they earned it, you can post hunt results, owner and handler name.

This is no joke. I know the non hunting judge very well. He is pretty upset with the guy. I'm not going into detail about what all the guy did in the hunt because I wasn't there. I do hope he comes to our youth hunt Sat. He won't have to worry about taking some kids winnings. I am pretty sure a guy from the club took care of the kid after the guy took the winnings tho. What a sorry piece of work!

If all the facts were posted, most of us would like to hang him. I am trying to shame him enough to hopefully either give the boy his light & trophy he won , or at the very least not come to anymore youth hunts. I sure don't want him at ours. My happy pills might not be strong enough that day LOL It's just a real shame that business's & people donate things for kids & adults act like that. I don't get it

I was told that he did get a light from one of the guys at Silver Lake club. I'm not posting what all happened because I wasn't there. But I know the guy that judged him, he is as honest as they get and will do about anything for these kids at hunts. He called me & was telling what happened, I told him I was going to do this to hopefully get the dumb @ss to do what's right.. I doubt it will change anything tho. To make things worse he has a first on his dog

I don't think you can shame a liar or a cheat. If some one reputable will take charge of it we get the money to buy the young man a trophy and his light.

Tim, I'm glad someone got him a light. I don't know what all happened, but I do it's hard enough to get young kids involved in this sport when things go right, let alone somethin like this happens. I'd be glad to help if he needs anything. I got Afew litters of pups comin too if he's lookin for his own to handle.

I would really like to know for sure that this young man recieved a light from someone. If not, I will donate a brand new one that I bought late last winter as a spare. Please ,somebody find out how things ended up for this youngster.

it's a shame

It's a shame. I couldn't do it but the only thing I could maybe see, and that's a big maybe, is the guy keepin the trophy. Only cause the trophy kind of belongs to the dog itself
