I checked out the Patriot dog box website and those are some nice looking boxes,don't know anyone that's owned one before though.

I'm ready to buy a new box and wanted an Owens dog box but there are no dealers close around so i'm going to try a Diamond Deluxe brand.

Patriot hands down, especially if you get a light color like gray or white. These colors will be cooler than a tread plate box. And not to mention patriot boxes are insulated, and owens are not. If they are I can't find it advertised, and to me that would be a selling point. Owens boxes are good but if you travel to the hunts your dogs will thank you for the patriot. jmo I personally use trammel creek. We don't have a harsh winter or summer and they are super light.

I have the Owens summer boxes.............no problems with heat in the south since the side and back panels can slide out.

As fas as insulation, I am in Alabama where cold weather is not an issue like Mel in MS.............now granted this year, we had some of the coldest weather we have had in years..........lack of insulation didn't seem to be a problem as they were toasty warm when they got out of the box when we got home.

Owens, just better made, BY FAR, and they ARE insulated.

They have better latches, reinforced doors/topstorage lid etc.

Mine is several years old, things could have changed, but I haven't seen a box as well made ever.

Last time I checked Regal was a wood box skinned with aluminum sheeting. I'd be afraid of leaking and wood rot.

I bought a diamond deluxe box at autumn oaks I am about ready to order an owens bottom storage.
Id sell this diamond in a heart beat do not like it at all.

Unique is what I have. Absolutely love it. When I was looking i had it narrowed down to either unique or an owens and was getting whatever i could get my hands on first. What few diamond delux boxes I have seen around here has some of the sorriest welds I have ever seen, at least the ones that havent broken down at the welds yet. Unique has a super customer service dept too. Guy I bought mine from didnt have the keys, called unique customer service and they hooked me up with everything new and all it cost me was the time it took to email them for help.

IN A OWENS BOX. IT WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU ARE READY TO QUIT. I HAD DIAMOND DELUXE NO GOOD. REGAL ARE GOOD BUT YOU DO HAVE WOOD TO ROT. HOUNDSMAN DELUXE WAS GOOD BUT GOT THE WOOD PROBLEM. OWENS FOR SURE.
