Pokey is full of puppies!

Well, we bred NITECH "PR" Deb's Northen Blue Pokey Dot to Jet 6 for a second time.

We took her up to Dean Bitzel and had her bred to Jet 6 straws. She is due to whelp August 25th, and it looks like she is going to have a few of them!

Her first 2 litters she had 10 each time, the last litter she whelped 15!

I am just hoping that all are fat and healthy, no matter how many she has.

Do you believe Jet 8 will have the reproducing ability that 6 has had? Why not breed to 8? Not trying to be smart or anything here. Just seems that you have faith in the Jet line. Your thoughts. Thanks.

Pokey's last litter was from Jet 8, She was bred to him almost 2 years ago, haven't heard anything from that litter. You might be able to find out about them from Danny Glista.

Het first litter was Jet 6, from that litter is our CH NITECH "PR" Hovious' Blue Jet's Turbo, the NITECH Jammer male that Dan Sheridan had that was hit and killed not long ago and the CH Echo female(Echo just needs 5 points to be NITECH) and the NITECH Rain female that Mike McMahon owns. Proven cross.

Her 2nd litter was from Tony Foley's Rattler, Todd Droge had that litter, not many survived out of that due to distemper, but I do know that a male finished to NITECH at Bluetick Days this year and has 3 wins toward grand.

This is why the decision was made to take her back to Jet 6.

Know first hand that cross has worked before. Jammer was a COONDOG and I know Danny wishes he had him back. Good luck with the pups.

Hope you have good luck with your pups.Looks like she is going to have a bunch of them.
I froze the semen on 6. Dean is doing a great job on breeding these females for us.

Dean and his family are super people.

And I want to thank you and your staff on getting the semen to Dean for us, it was very helpful that you were able to send the semen with the young man that was picking up some beagle semen and was heading to Deans that very day. A great stroke of luck!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Nuff' said. I once owned a Nt.ch. female out of Hovious' Indiana Blue Candy. She was out of Jet V. The Jet line is full of winners. The Ntch. I owned produced Natl. Gr.Nt. Wild-n-Blue Lou that Steve Burkholder later purchased at the Hoosier State Hunt years ago. I have a Jet 8 pup now. One of the smartest I've raised in years shows potential. Pokey and your cross serves the Blue Breed well. I have a BoBo female that is winning as well.

The funny thing was that Kandy would only have 2 pups survive out of her litter each time, both were coondogs. Once sold a dog called Hillbilly Hank down your way (SpankyxKandy) and dog called Sprawler to John Hovious. Sprawler ended up in a hide hunters hands. Small world.

I am not pricing any at this time, as of right now all were spoken for months before we bred Pokey back to Jet 6 for the 2nd time.

If by chance there are any that have had to cancel their booking I will put them on the board here.
