Young mans game ?

It's a tuff pill to swallow Especialy for and old geezer like me but it's true. But when I was young a dog that only averaged one coon per hour in thick coon country would not have been good enough. That being said with the pot lickers I got now somtimes one coon in thin coon country in two hours makes me happy lol.

Sounds to me

Like Robert needs to start shopping nursing homes instead of dogs. I can tell you this Robert, there will be no sympathy from myself or Carson. Now get up and get your A$% out on the hill, with your messed up tailgate and all. If you need I have a young one hear that will either break you or whip you back into shape. Lol

Listening to him you would think he was 94.

Seriously though, bad knees, back and neck will take it out of you.

Yup as long as the ground is hard. I tried it on crutches one night wasn't doin bad til I shoved that crutch right to the handle in a swamp. Next night I screwed a six inch square piece of plywood to the bottom of the crutch. Anybody with much for brains woulda just stayed home.

I have a guy that is 62 and hunts with me 6 nights a week in these mountains and goes every step of the way. He has a steel rod in his neck, 4 heart attacks multiple stints, bypasses and diabetes. One of his bypasses is blocked now and he refused to get it fixed until coon season is over. Its not the age its your will and drive to go. He told me years ago if it wasn't for me pushing him to go every night he would have done killed over.

That guy is a ticking time bomb. I would be afraid to hunt with him. Suck to have to pack him out.
