4 dog ntch cast. All 4 struck and treed. Get in there all 4 baying a possum in a cage. How do score and you rules guru's Jim you can hold off a little before answering

You know mine was there if a possum was involved. Can't really blame mine for baying it. He's a possum dog. Now those that backed on caged possum is what you need to look at lol.

Well how about this. Same scenario only there's one possum in the cage and its poor mama is beside the cage lol. Two nt ch's bayed on the trap and two bayed on the one outside the trap. They're two feet apart

Yes livestock. Was hoping to get an explanation as to why the live trap saved them from being scratched for off game and if the same logic would save a dog from being scratched for bothering livestock. Sorry for the confusion I woulda used the sheep or cow for an example but it wouldn't fit in the trap lol

Allen already covered this both in the advisor and on here. Any game in a cage/live trap the points are deleted and then go on hunting. That is why the "Trap" matters. I hope this clears it up for you sir.

I don't know what the rules say about it, but I would think they would be scratched for off game. If they had found it outside the trap they would be scratched, so what's the difference. But hey, sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug. LOL. But more importantly, why in the world would somebody set a live trap for an "ol grinner? LOL
