I believe I did on the post made by Cynthia and also to Hank Purvis on the Bluetick message board. Everything was answered from how it was received from the Zone to what all has been done from there.

I would be willin to bet a pair of highly trained house cat's you could have the "NON PAYING" "JOB" of chasin everything down that is suposed to be handled at the zone level first & all stuffed in envelope's,with out any kinda mistake "OF COURSE" & in a timely manor,"If ya can......................"

If your interested in bein continually scrutinized, don't mind some excessive whimperin from grown cry baby's,gettin finger's pointed at you from every direction & all in the name of "OUR BREED OF CHOICE",I would suggest you get your self nominated to do just that!!

JMO/of course for what it's worth.

Two Toes

I never said Mike Hisk did it !!My point being that inorder to be fair
to the dog it needs to be re evaluated. Mackie Manns has a group
of fine hounds that has reproduced ,no questions asked. If Mackie's nomination were to be the victom of an unforseen computer glitch would that be fair to Mackie? No sir!!!
I make mistakes on a daily basis, and they will happen.I have over 50 employees and I am a Cub Master in the Scouts. I understand what it is to be criticized.

A problem occous when nothing to make it right. It is not about the owners, it is about thedog being recognized for what they contributed to the breed.

Again you may want to consider taking that up with the zone responsable.

Everyone just assume's everyone know's the complete name of their dog & that it will magically all appear correct. Lack of info or in some case's "NONE" can make a costly error to fix.

I am not at liberty to make any kinda decision of that caliber, but I do know it would cost a lil scratch to do it over again because of lack of co-operation at the nominatin level !!

Then there would be more of that "FREE TIME" used up as well.

I'm not sayin either way ya know, what I am sayin is it get's a lil sickening seein "Volunteer's" that give up a pile of their personal time get bashed & beat on in all breed ass. not just our's.

Everyone can alway's do it better,Ever notice that ?

Mr Purvis, never met you but from your post and insults to Mr Hauck I take it you don't have much respect for all he does and has done as President of BBOA.

Mike Huck ???/ Matt Houge ???? Mike Hisk ????

Seems to me you should look closer to home seems like lots of problems stem from the state of NC, not anywhere else

And to take cheap shots at Mr Hauck and I don't see you as an officer or taking the jobs offered in BBOA it must be easier to sit on the side lines and throw eggs and stones at those who go the extra mile.

Is this the kind of attitude we can expect from your Zone come time for the Reunion next year ?? Maybe I'll call my Directors and ask them to voice concern that it should go someplace else, a location that shows more respect for our National Officers !!!!

Mr Downing, good post and it sure seems like some folks will kick a dog no mater what its going through, or has done or does from day to day.

Talking with my Directors back in June seems like I heard Zone 5 Officers made complete fools of themselves in regards of the National organization ????

Baby Blue

Baby Blue or what ever your real name is or what state in the mid west you are from. Miles Hunt sounds close doesnt it??? My point
being the junk yard dog or any other dog should be correct. I never accused Mark of anything.
As for your questions participation in zone 5 is not what it should be . Why ??? I am not all of the people in zone 5 , I did not bar Mark from the club.
If it makes you feel better call anyone you would like to call your officers. If my post on the J.Y.D. makes you feel that bad I am sure It must be a bad idea to come to N.C. or for the reunion to come to N.C.
Any future conversations feel free to use your real name!!!
Mine is Hank Purvis and I am from Dunn N.C.

as a member of BBOA i do not appreicate seeing one of our zones being ridiculed on a public coonhound message board by a rep of the BBOA. very disrespectful and sheds a very bad light. i know you think of yourself as the golden child of BBOA, but there is a bunch of us that not only support the BBOA but more importantly are down in the trenches being Bluetick Breeders who dont really care to read crap like this. this is exactly what they mean when they say this is what happens when they sit down at the table instead of clean it. Mr purvis is free to voice is own opinions but that does not mean he is the voice of an entire zone.

I dont get on here much, but I have been following this bashing that's been going on. Seems to me that a lot of it is coming from the top down. People need to grow up and let it go and try to let old wounds heal instead of keep putting salt in them. There are more important things to talk about than all of this.

If the BBOA is supposed to support the breed, why have I not seen anything about the blueticks that are traveling the roads and spending their hard earned money trying to present their dogs & the breed in a good light. Where are the congratulations, appreciation for job well done and votes of good luck for the bluetick leaders in the Purina race???

I guess I will be the first to do that. So congratulations to Steve Burkholder/Ed Mauney & Lady for the a #2 place in the hunt & congratulations to Cynthia Grooms & Bandit for a #3 place in the show. Job Well done, keep up the good work!

#2-GRNITECH'PR'IL.BLUE RIVER GYPSY LADY*
BLUETICK COONHOUND
STEVE BURKHOLDER & ED MAUNEY

#3-CCH GRCH'PR'SOUTHERN FLAME BAD NEWS BANDIT*
BLUETICK COONHOUND
CYNTHIA D GROOMS

This seems more important to me than all the bickering that's been going on.

Congratulations...

I would to extend my congrats as well. These folks have spent a lot of money and time getting their dog where they are at now and that shows some dedication to the breed and the organization.

Good job guys! (& gal)!!

mr rance, it started at the bottom and worked its way up, the ridicule was directed at the president, with name calling and belittling of someone who works hard for the bluetick coonhound

want to see it stop then look lower and youll see who started this and if the shoe fits then those who did what they did must wear it

we send out conrats in pms to those winning and doing a good job for the bluetick coonhound. also its nice to walk up to them at the events and shake their hands and tell them good luck and good hunting or showing i'm sure they do appreachiate it

Who is Baby Blue??

Since I dont know who Baby Blue is .I asked a question and stated a POINT> If Mark Hauck,s name was wrong on a ballot would Mike Husk be close enough?? That is a point, not a bash.
BBT/Rance 56 good point. I am NOT a zone 5 officer and this was
put up as a poll before the Zone 5 Hunt. I am not a member of the club that barred Mark!!!!! I guess being from Zone 5 that I have been tried and convicted by some self appointed power to be in some association!!!
I want to see a hunt that is FUN in the SOUTH to promote BlueTicks. If this is wrong im sorry. Taco Bell said Think outside of the bun. I am just trying to get a group of hunters together to see what we can do to have a good hunt.

well russ, its soemthing like this. in todays world too much is left unsaid or sugar coated due to political correctness. to me, i believe in telling it like it is. just cause things are a certain way, dont mean they are wrong its just the way they are.

with that being said, coonhutning is a man's world, though there is a place for women in it; the politics of it, especially when it involves fueding coonhunters is not the place, evenmoreso in a public forum. there is ways to go about things and ways you definetly dont go about things, and you just have to be a man to understand it, and it works vice versa in other areas. im not trying to be covinous just telling it the way i see it and the way i feel. if someone can convince me otherwise, ill apologize. until then someone please put a muzzle on blue angel! its a dam joke to think becasue youve been to the natl hunt for 3 years and became a rep that you have earned the right to start calling out whole zones and have the audacity only a woman could have of thiinking int hat little time you carry the wieght to get the upcoming reunion moved. im sorry i go coonhunting to get away from that sort of nonsense.

Nat. officers, zone officers or board of directors donate their time and often money to promote the organization. Not all are honest and not all are perfect. The positions have very little reward for effort put forth. However, those who don't deal with any problem in a professional manner shouldn't even get a response. If their is a problem don't act like a bunch of spoiled kids.

What a thread! Glass houses & rose colored glasses come to mind. I guess in just about every walk of life politics and personal feelings will be mingled and spun. I will say as a blueticker since the late 80's I have watched & listened to similar situations play themselves out in many different shapes & forms. It is now as it was then. The power of the internet and a wonderful tool like this message board allow spreading of the word in a much faster manner now, but the end result is still the same. As long as human beings are involved, the difference of opinion & reaction will be involved.

With that being said, I would like to tip my hat & give my congratulations to every man, woman, & child from the South & North who have had any part in the pedigree of any blue dog nominated and or voted in to the hall of fame. Without all of their hard work, common folks like myself would not enjoy the biscuit eaters we chase after today.
