Bought my first new truck today.

2007 Toyota Tocoma.

How are you able to afford a truck as bad of shape as most people in this country are (supposedly) in?

Never bought a new car before. Is 19% interest very good?

19% is not good...i had a vehicle financed for me that was around 6.25%. so basically u got screwed

I got a special deal on the truck. My payments are only $350 a month and then some kind of balloon/lease deal.

Holy Cow! I am not being mean or argumentative, but in all honesty. That is TERRIBLE, beyond terrible. On a brand new one most manufacturers are offering from 0% for 60 months to 1.9% for 72 months! Wow. I would be talking to my banker / finance man at the dealer.....SOON! Good luck and I really mean it. Go get some answers!

you are going to pay for that truck over and over again. them finance companies have a way of screwing people over. they probably put all the interest on the front of the loan, so even if you refinance they will still get there interest money. you got to watch out for them crooks. they are not really banks, there credit card companies and the don't have the same regulations that the banks have to go by.....
