Yesterday, we lost ole Steve-O to old age. He was the best. RIP old friend and we will hunt again, when I get there.

Sorry to hear this Kenny. I have always said the only thing wrong with a great hound is they just dont live long enough. He was a credit to the redbone breed.

Steve-O is gone now but not forgotten. He was a powerful reproducer of Tree dogs. There are several good ones out of him so his blood will be around a long time. I'm sure glad you shared him with us Kenny. Thanks

Thank you all!

Steve-O was a great tree dog and a great buddy. He loved "walking" our granddaughters around the yard and down the street. He was more than a coon dog or a pet, he was family. We miss him so much but know we will meet again. Thank you for all your kind comments, I have 20 straws of him saved, for the right female, and I will hopefully get another one just like him. God bless you all.

Kenny, sorry to hear that. I know that you and Patti will miss him. He was a part of your family. But his legacy will live on for quite a while.

Oh my goodness, it has been almost a year since Steve-O died. It seems like just last year that I took Sally out to Kenny's to breed her to Steve-O and got to hunt with him for a week. I think that I have "Sundowners". I start off fairly sharp in the mornings but by evening everything is a little fuzzy. Getting old can be frustrating.

I know this is an old thread But I am sorry for your loss.I have been hunting withy buddies Hound Tuefel out of Steve o he is 10 or 11 years old great Hound and a pleasure to hunt with .We are expecting pups out of him this month crossed to a gyp out of Huckleberry Hound .we are very excited to continue his lines
