Fellers I tell ya what, I'd like to say I don't know what this world is coming to, but that would be a lie...this world is coming to an END and if don't happen soon I reckon God would have to apologize to Sodom and Gommorah.

I just can not for the life of me understand people's stance (or lack of for that matter)....if it was sin and everything against God thousands of years ago then let me tell you it is still SIN today.

I reckon since we have a yellow belly coward inhabiting the White House and promoting equality for all humans this what we are gonna have to deal with, God forbid.

I know God allows rulers and teachs us to obey, I know this, and I do agree we ought to do our dead level best to obey laws and rules, but these issues we are being faced with today is absolutely against what the Word of God teaches and we ought not to stand for none of it.

There is an ole country song that is so true, and it's nothing but a shame....If you're gonna stand for nothing , you'll fall for anything....sad but true. I am absolutely ashamed of the Boy Scouts of America after reading this news.

It seems to me that they should be joining the GIRLSCOUTS, not the BOYSCOUTS.

Some of you people are dead wrong on this matter ,,I was once a scout leader ,Never once did i ever lay a hand on a young man. My son was in that scout pack too,,,, Now that same son of mine is a scout leader as well with his son in it . But in the end result I would have to vote or say no to this . Thank You Chuck West

Scouts is a great organization. If you are worried about your son, join and help out. I did and it was very rewarding for me and my son. They have several saftey nets to make sure the boys are safe. One is two deep leadership, two trained leaders must be present all the time and no adult can be alone with a child.
For every 100 boys who join Scouting, records indicate that:
•RARELY will one be brought before the juvenile court system
•2 will become Eagle Scouts
•17 will become future Scout volunteers
•12 will have their first contact with a church
•1 will enter the clergy
•5 will earn their church award
•18 will develop a hobby that will last through their adult life
•8 will enter a vocation that was learned through the merit badge system
•1 will use his Scouting skills to save his own life
•1 will use his Scouting skills to save the life of another person

Scouting's alumni record is equally impressive. A recent nation- wide survey of high schools revealed the following information:
•85% of student council presidents were Scouts
•89% of senior class presidents were Scouts
•80% of junior class presidents were Scouts
•75% of school publication editors were Scouts
•71% of football captains were Scouts

Scouts also account for:
•64% of Air Force Academy graduates
•68% of West Point graduates
•70% of Annapolis graduates
•72% of Rhodes Scholars
•85% of F.B.I. agents
•26 of the first 29 astronauts

Note: Since this was written the percentage of Eagle Scouts has climbed to nearly 4%.

BOY SCOUTS GIVING IN TO GAYS?
The Houston Chronicle is delighted to announce that “Facing diverse and ceaseless protests, the Boy Scouts of America is signaling its readiness to end the nationwide exclusion of gays as scouts or leaders and give the sponsors of local troops the freedom to decide the matter for themselves. Under the proposed change, which was outlined Monday by the Scouts, the different religious and civic groups that sponsor Scout units would be able to decide for themselves how to address the issue - either maintaining an exclusion of gays, as is now required of all units, or opening up their membership.

“Southern Baptist leaders - who consider homosexuality a sin - were furious about the possible change and said its approval might encourage Southern Baptist churches to support other boys' organizations instead of the BSA. The Southern Baptists are among the largest sponsors of Scout units, along with the Roman Catholic, Mormon and United Methodist churches.”

Actually, Mormons are by far the largest sponsor of BSA troops—by almost half. The particular language chosen allows them to appease the pro-homosexual gay and lesbian lobby while allowing churches such as the Mormons and Baptists to continue to exclude gays as boy leaders. By dropping their philosophical and moral objection to Gays in scouting the Scout Law is now subject to a reinterpretation of one of its most important tenets: being Moral. The BSA is afraid of gay lawsuits that will try to get the courts to mandate non-discrimination as to sexual orientation. Radical gay and lesbian organizations will not be appeased by this move.

If the Boy Scouts or the courts were to mandate all leadership positions be available to gays, the Mormons and other churches would pull out of Scouting and it would collapse financially
