PKC Senior Truck Hunt

Congrats to Casey Stallard on your great win!!!!!

Posted by Larry Hall on 02-05-2017 12:10 PM:

Lot of plus points scored by that group of hounds. Looked to be some tough company!!

Young man's hound that won it made it look easy on paper. Nice job!!

.

It was a nail bite'er at the end. Got down to two dogs needing to be scored and either one could of taken it away from the leader but they didn't.

Which one of those 4 won with minus or circle??

Posted by johnny reb on 02-05-2017 10:52 PM:

It was a smart comment. You have people complaining about the other registry's winning with minus and circle.

.

One side note. This isn't just a hunt you pack up and decide to go to. You have to qualify the previous year and then attend the hunt the next year. Not easy to get a ticket to this hunt.

Chew it works the other way around also. Coondog doesn't care where the hunt is. Just cut it loose.

You hear the banjos playing at night in remote areas here lol !

Posted by Larry Hall on 02-06-2017 12:31 AM:

And what is wrong with banjo's playing Mr Tar? Lol

Posted by V. Cannon on 02-06-2017 12:36 AM:

There's probably nothing wrong with hearing a banjo unless the accompanying sound of squealing pigs reminds him of a past event in his life.

Posted by yadkintar on 02-06-2017 12:45 AM:

No but when you go into a tree and you hear a voice out in the dark say wuh huh huh your dog sho got a pretty Mouf lol.

Definitely a good hunt for sure. Not easy to get a truck ticket. I attended again this year with a buddy of mine. I was hunting the dog to get him ready for this hunt the past 3 weeks. He made it to the late round. Some unfortunate circumstances happened and he had to be withdrawn. But we had fun and have some pretty good stories of this hunt. Some valuable lessons learned also. NEVER go into a river to try and save a dog. It can go bad in a hurry.

I'm glad UKC let this post up here to talk about!

I'm even more happy the dogs that struck first and the six applied right a way didn't win cast as they normally do.

Do you know how much money you could win with that dog?.................Now ask if I care.
