They done that here where I live so I put out a feeder to see if I can get them to come back. I guess they like the deer feeders across the hill where all they have to do is park and eat.

dry

Its dry down here in southwest va to. My hounds have been treeing coons but it aint easy. There is so much for them to eat they don't have to travel. I have never seen so many acorns wild cherrys and grapes!!

Same here. Dogs are snortin' dirt the past month or so. They give up on the tracks and come back needing water something bad. My dog went from showing me at least one coon everynight to not even being able to come treed. Makes it very frustrating

Went down to creek below house last night and checked fedder I set out 3wks ago still full. Guess they did pack up and leave couldnt even find a track in the sand. Good thing I got plenty more places to hunt within 10 min of the house.

I KNOW ONE THING. IT'S DRIER THAN A POPCORN FART IN OHIO AND INDIANA.

IT IS SO DRY, YOU GOT TO BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK OR YOU WILL STEP IN A CRACK IN THE GROUND AND ROLL AN ANKLE OVER!

IT'S SO DUSTY, MY EYES WERE MATTERED SHUT THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I WOKE UP IN OHIO. OH MY GOSH IT'S DRY UP THERE!

DRY DOWN HERE IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT DRY THAN UP THERE.

IT'S A HUMID DRY/HOT HERE, BUT IT'S JUST PLAIN ALL OUT DRY UP THERE.

THE GROUND LOOKED LIKE YOU SEE IN DESERTS. AND THE GRASS WAS CRUNCHY TOO.

Too Dry

It's so dry here in Indiana that I think I have forgoten what rain is. Treed a couple nights ago, It was the frist coon I've seen in two months. Dogs just can't track in conditions like this.

AFTER THIS WEEKEND, I'M CONVINCED THAT IT TAKES A DOG WITH A GOOD LAY-UP WIND NOSE TO TREE COONS UP THERE RIGHT NOW.

I JUST WONDER IF THAT'S WHAT MR CLEAN DID....RUN AROUND WITH HIS HEAD UP WINDING LAY-UP COONS?

I know you won't believe me but the last time we got more than 30 secs of rain was August 8th. Not joking
