9 weeks before I was born, my mamma was dragged to a cave. By a thundercat X bigfoot, the ol man was brave. I was born to a beagle bitch, spawned by a lion. Tracked twisters for trainin, bred gaters for smilin.
Nursed by a wildcat, weaned on a cougar. I eat bear for breakfast, lion for lunch. Deer for dinner and bobcat for brunch.

1/2 beagle and 1/2 lion, though the tiger claims he was there. I'm big and I'm bad, to mean for a hare. So mean and evil, I would already be in that tree. Save the battle for the big boys, let the wimps leave the tree.

Daddy says he's proud, mamma says I ain't right. I tree sasquatch in the daytime, raccoons at night.

Would I go under that tree, dang right I would. I would be in tight places only a 1/2 beagle could. That lion looks pretty. Just had me a thought. Might even try it, if I knew I wouldn't get caught.

crossbeagle X lion. Theres a heck of a match. Like a buzzsaw X bulldog, what game you could catch.

Thats becoming a regular occurance with our big cats this year. They are getting more aggressive it seems, and the young string of hounds are pretty darn fast.

You bet, I've had lions bayed up beating up my hounds and I've kicked, punched, hit lions with a stick. I'd do anything to get that old hound from that lion.

Haven't been that close to a lion , but I have been that close to a bear. On the ground. Catching dogs by their tails , pulling them off. Take a look....

http://www.biggamehoundsmen.com/video/bear.mpg

We didn't want to kill the little bugger , so something had to give. When they bayed him up the next time , we put down the cameras and started catching dogs. That bear just walked away. LOL

OK, Jackbob42.....

You got MY heartrate up for the day! That was Awesome! I am SO scared of Bears! If I had been there I would have had a heart attack and dropped dead! LOL...Nice camera work, nice hounds and If I look past my Fear... nice looking Bear!
I have to admit I'm going to watch that again, after a few deep breaths....LOL.... I still have to say I Don't think I'll Ever wan to go on a bear hunt but i am Determined to go on one big cat hunt before I die!
I'm enjoying this forum alot. Much easier to find the big game stuf here, instead of searching thru the breed sections to find it. Hellcats post get me everytime Love those Lightfoot hounds. IF I were a serious hunter I would want one. NOT being a serious hunter I wil be satisfied with the pix( and videos) until I may get the chance to be a spectator on a hunt with some of those beautiful athletes.
OK, THink I'm ready to watch that video again??? we'll see! Thanks for posting it. Hope it's jsut the first of many!
HappyHunting, Heather

Sounds like the guy in the video that almost got caught. ( Gene )

The year before , we had a BIG bear bayed up. He was too big to get out , so we decided not to take him. While we were taking pictures , the bear walked between Gene , and another guy named Bob , while Bob was winding his camera. Bob said he looked up just in time to see Gene swat the bear across the rump with a switch ! LOL
When Bob asked him what he was doing , Gene just smiled and said " How many guys you know that bear hunt with a stck? " LOL

I cought my beagle with a bear just a few feet away. He was baying the bear. DUMB dog don't you think.

Posted by RunninBear(Ike) on 10-13-2009 02:17 AM:

I don't know how close I would put myself in harm's way anymore, but yes, I've done lots worst than that. This lion was probably ten feet up in a pinyon tree and all my dogs were treeing from the ground except that black and white Rowen female of mine. So got so close that lion swatted her and held her down to chew on her........

Well, that was probably ten years ago and I left the ground climbing that tree saying things I can't repeat on this board and screaming at that lion. I never once stopped to think what I was gonna do if that lion didn't release my little Rodo girl, but I figure one of us was fixing to take a tail end whippin. Luckily that lion turned her loose as I reached them and popped out of the top of that tree like a jack in the box..........

A guy shouldn't ever get that mad!
