Hunt Last night with Craig Edwards

Finally got a chance to meet Craig Edwards last night. He came down to the house for a hunt and man did I ever enjoy it. Craig is a super nice person. He brought his Nippet female and big she is. Nice hound. I love her looks and mouth on the tree. She trees like a Walker dog LOL!!! For all of you that don't know Craig let me tell you, that you couldn't find a better hunting partner. He is straight up and has knowledge about his Blue Dogs. For you Craig you are welcome at my home anytime. First drop we turned out in the long bottom as I call it and the dogs got struck Nippet first but that is because she is louder than Max and I may not been able to hear her for Craig talking LOL!!! No I was doing a lot of it but they got struck and moved a track down the creek and than turned left up on the hillside and as they were moving that track they hit up several times at least I know Max did but finally they came hooked and man Ole Nippet can spit them out. With Max jacking the tree he may have gotten a few barks in to all of hers. LOL!!! Well us being the hunters we are we decided to get into shape and drive around to the dogs. We walked a good 200 yards to this huge Oak tree. Max and Nippet were taking turns showing off by getting up in the fork of this tree and I snatched Max down from there because I have heard too many war stories how dog have been killed by doing that and I let him know I didn't like it at all. Well Nippet did the same thing and man I wish I would have had my camera because they would have made some real nice pics. up there. We tied the dogs back and started to squall and sure enough there sit a big Ole Coon up there and that was basically our night. We went and turned out at another place of mine but caught the dogs off a track because they were headed into no man's land and I mean that. I have to be up at 3:30am every morning so I didn't want to take that hike last night. That was our night but I really got to meet a very nice Man. Thanks Craig you will have to bring Ole StraightDrive with you next time. Hope you all enjoy story.

Oh I about forgot about all the folks we talked about on this board. You folks really have Craig's attention and I am not going to call no names but I will give you their initials, Chrys the wife LMFAO!!!!!!!

Well if I had enough money I would have put some fuel in my private jet and sent it after you and Shannon. Sorry!!!!! Running low on funds at the moment. LOL!!!!!

Ice, I had a great time. You sure have a coon dog in Max. He is a real pleasure to hunt. All business! Max and Terry are both honest and just tell it like it is. They go good together!!!! We will difinetely be doing it some more. Thanks for showing me a good time. You also have a beautiful place, and a beautiful family. I enjoyed meeting your daughter and your wife.

Chrys, I swung out to Mo. and blowed the horn a couple of times and nobody came out.I would have waited longer, but it was getting dark, and N.C. is a fer piece away. Next time when you hear the horn blow, you had better have your boots, and your light on!!

There would have been some awesome pictures, but we forgot the camera. They treed in a huge tree with a fork in it, and the dogs would take turns climbing the tree, and treeing from the fork. It was a really good hunt; and good fellowship. What I really liked about Ice, is "What you see is what you get." He is what he is, and I like that in a person. It's hard to find people that are real in almost any arena.

We actually saw two coons. One in the tree, and one crossing the road.

Oh Yea, I like Ice's kennel. People talked about Jim Baker for having an air condidioned dog house, well, Ice has satelite TV in his. Sits back with the fan blowing on him; Right beside the couch is a frig full of drinks, feet throwed up watching TV right in the kennel. IT's a hard life, but somebodys got to do it !!!!lol!

Edited: Whoops I mean my 5th 29th...Shan had to tell me. I have a tendancy to forget how old I am. Cant be b/c of my age, I'm only 29

Well it is like I told you and I tell everyone else. If it weren't for my son I would have never been able to have this kennel I owe it all to him. He told me Daddy if I build this thing you are to keep it clean and feed the dogs everyday so that is what I do even though he don't hunt anymore I still thank him for doing this for me. I have heard him tell folks I built that kennel for my Dad so when I get a little upset that he don't help me hunt the dogs well I just sit back a moment and thank God to have a son that cares enough for his Dad to do this type of thing. Chrys you are right if Shannon had this thing he would love it. Has a couch in it that folds out into a bed. Has a frig. and yes Sat. TV. Oh well life isn't all that bad. LOL!!!!!!!! You two are welcome here anytime as everyone else I have invited down. Take care and hope to see you soon.

Chrys, someone told me that was you!!!! They said you wore that same bikini at Autum Oaks!!!!! I was told that you did tell at least part of the truth: The Guy is not Shannon!!!! It's hard to know who to believe these days!!

you know what bothers me about this whole post. I thought you would have gotten on here and told these folks that Ole Blue Ice the Feeder Bucket King doesn't have no feeders out and we hunted the so called wild coons last night so that means our dogs can tree a wild coon not a pet coon. So what ya think about that Ole Johnny V. LOL!!!!!!!!!

I was going to!!!! That is exactly what I was about to say. No feeders, just wild coon. The coon was not only wild, and in the wild, it was a real live coon!!!!!!

All jokes aside, Terry has a very nice hound that is a pleasure to hunt. Max needs no help to " Git R Done."

Did you want a 15 min. hunt, or 30 min. hunt, or for a few dollars more you can hunt an hour. Our guarentee is to put you in the bush, may even get you lost at no extra charge. We furnish the land to hunt on, pepsi and crackers, and even a pack of gum for a small fee. If you will help us with our dogs, we will not charge you those hidden fees.
