I had the privilege of hunting with Astro at the bunckhouse hunt, when you cut him loose he waits on nothing, he is gone in the dark and looking for a coon to tree, He strikes with a loud deep bawl, drives a track to catch, and tree,s the first coon up with a loud short bawl and chop mixed and he is parked to stay, he is a coon dog......Gerald

Not only is he a super nice lookin hound he is a coon dog. Iv'e hunted with Astro and any one would be proud to put him on their lead. He gets struck quick and pushes a track and is a big mouthed tree dog. Iv'e seen him hold a ton of pressure and just keep on keepin on. Besides if you know Paul he aint goin to lead nothin but the best.
Astro is bred right and should throw a lot of drive in his pups with a lot of tree to go along with it.

Shelly is still having a little leg trouble, I hunted her tonight, they got on a rough running coon and treed him about a mile in, on the way out she was limping a little, going to have her checked out this week so we will know for sure and take care of the problem hopefully......Gerald
