62 Grand nites in a row!!!!

62 Grand nites in a row. Read a post from Abbotts on the coondog forum. Any Blue pedigree close? If blue dog top breeders and hunters got together how long would it take? Go Team Blue.

out of the 62 Grand NTs did the man happen to say how many HE trained and put in the hunts himself? The Walker boys play together better than the Blue boys..........Tim

Really, that's funny there was three other dogs on each cast these dogs won what does it matter weather it's off buckets or a corn field with coon sitting up all around it just sound like another excuse I've hunted with some of these dogs an they would make you look for a excuse

My thought was maybe the bboa and bbcha pay the owner of sire and dam of the Grand nites being bred and of course there would have to have safe guards like DNA and maybe # of pups produced. Anyone have a idea how many Grand nites were bred to Grand nite last year?

Posted by KJW71266 on 12-28-2013 11:10 AM:

Certainly not sure of the total of GRNT to GRNTs but last year 2013 Gauge had the very good fortune of breeding several ( 5+) GRNTCH females and more importantly these as well as the other females he was able to breed this year were GOOD coondogs!!! If I get some time ill do a list for you with the owners names!!
Thanks to those that chose Gauge!!

Blueticks

To many Bluetickers think that they have the answer, they just haven't figured out what the question is!...............Tim

Posted by max destruction on 01-04-2014 02:51 PM:

I have a 3yro that needs 1 win to grand and will be the 20th grand night female in a row on her bottom side, I don't care how many grand nights anybody owns or has I'm looking for the ability to reproduce grand nights and would love to find a male that has a consistant history of producing grand nights

I realize titles don't mean much these days but its all we got to go buy the excuses of why they didn't has to end sooner or later!

I don't see the key to better blues being predominantly about any one specific hound. While one hound can certainly have a positive impact in many areas, strength and progress are usually in numbers and requires many people working together for a common goal to reach maximum potential. Hopefully we will all achieve our goals and have fun getting there.

JUST CURIOUS, BUT WHAT IS THE QUESTION AND ANSWER. SORRY, BUT I GUESS I AM ONE OF THE "TOO MANY" THAT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT QUESTION YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

Who cares

Been to the woods with a lot of different grandnights u couldn't give me to take home. It's about treeing coon not papers and we all know some handlers can make a grandnight outta nothing so what's that prove

So how do we go about it? Can't hunt with every dog and many are dead? Just ask the owners and go by that? Or there cliques?
I think ill take my chances with grand nights!

I've never been to the woods with GrandNite that wouldn't tree coons they were all pretty good dogs maybe not great but pretty good

Grandnights

Not saying they won't tree you a coon but most aren't the most accurate dogs ever some are some aren't I don't live n die by the night hunts mine gotta tree me hides to make me happy but if your gonna compare walkers n Blues in the night hunts walkers r gonna win the majority of the hunts it's math fact

Posted by max destruction on 01-06-2014 12:19 AM:

I don't remember anybody comparing walkers!

well

Thats the problem with bluetickers. We would rather breed for ear length, build, color, split nose, big blood hound type track straddlers, then get together and breed winners to winners. Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks but I like winning with Blues. Grand Night is a way to measure, how high you hold it is up to you. I will continue to try and have a walker spanker on the end of my leash, and face it they figured it out alot quicker than we have. Just my 2 cents

To me a good comp dog an a good hide dog is the same dog both tree a pile of coon because plus points is what wins not circle of minus know what your dog is doing an don't cover slick treers this usually what makes grandnites from what I've seen anyway so I guess what I'm saying grand means a lot to me

Thanks for the positive and I guess the negative opinions too.
Just thought maybe if if enough breeders and hunters we could come up with a game plan to help push blueticks to the top of the competition world. If Grand Nites didn't matter why are we spending money to even register dogs? Also why aren't more Nt. Champion and Grand Nites females just bred to PR "male dogs? This is not to offend anyone's dog or breeding program. I just thought
The bluetick people could come up a way to reward hunters and breeders that bred Gr. Nite X Gr. Nite.

Me and you both I can tell you guys what the problem is if you wanna know just go look in the mirror and you will see it!!! The reason the treeing walkers and English dogs are winning is because if you have a good gyp you don't care to ride Down the road and breed it to a good male. Bluetick hunters don't think like that you guys worry way to much bout who owns it quit breeding stupid and start breeding winners!!!!!
