I've seen her (Melissa) judge Walker Days several years ago and she was really good. She even wrote an article in bloodlines about her picks and why.

Good!! I like showing under a judge that knows the structure and confirmation of a dog and not just what looks pretty on the bench. A good handler can hide alot on the bench ground work says alot when it comes down to it!

The hunt scores really struggled, to be honest with you. Grands minused out (had 45 mins. LEFT TO HUNT). I think 2 registered casts came in with plus points. 250+ each, if you remember from the show, the guy who won open female in the show placed 2nd place in the hunt. I think there was around 30 dogs in the hunt. Don't know the guy's name that won 1st place open, but I heard he was hunting a plott. Just one of those nights that you really couldn't get that great of tracks? Couldn't explain it. Just because some hunters didn't make it to this hunt, the overall picture is still WIDE OPEN. Thanks for coming down, sorry I didn't really have a chance to formally introduce myself and talk to you guys. Maybe some other time, or at another time. Thanks for coming.

Yeah that was quite a haul for me (450 miles from home) at least the next two are within an hour from me... Hopefully I will be able to get in the hunt for one of those... have to see what the schedule is...

Any idea on how the NiteCh casts did?

I really didn't hear if they even came in with "any" plus points at all. Didn't see a slip or trophy handed out for it. I could be wrong about it though. Joe Maitland might know more.

Red Results-

We have 4 dogs qualified for the Finals at this point. Everything can change between here and the Blue Hunt deadline.

1st Place Overall: Dave Marsden with Nt.Ch. Koshkonong Shadow (750+ CW)

2nd Place Overall: Jeff/Nick Eick with Nt.Ch. Double E's Bog Woods Brawler (437.5 CW)

3rd Place Overall: Larry Herrell with Herrel's Fox River Socks (250 CW)

4th Place Overall: Jerry Bowers with Pec River Kate (250 CW)

See all of you in Neillsville on 5/13. The Breed awards are obviously up in the air. I will post show results soon.

Round 2 results-

After the White event in Neillsville this past Saturday, here are the latest standings for Championship qualifiers:

We had 7 cast winners, an additional 6 dogs qualifying beyond the 4 dogs who qualified at the Red. All of these are subject to change pending the results of this Saturday's hunt in Amherst.

1. Shadow, Marsden (2 cast wins)
2. X-Rated, Claussen
3. X-Kate, Mattson
4. Timber, Koehler
5. Brawler, Eich
6. Pete, Keller
7. Shelly, Doering
8-10 (tie)
Kate, Bowers
Socks, Herrell
Dixie II, Bader

We will have a maximum of 16 potential qualifiers for the 9/30 Championship Finals in Plymouth, unless Shadow wins her cast on Saturday, in which she would earn an early round bye. If this is the case the next highest placing 12 dogs will qualify for the early round.

Keep in mind, any qualifiers who do not show up for the Finals, will be out of contention for the Championship and their place will be filled by the next highest qualifier or cast winner who confirms entry on 9/30.

We will not be publicly announcing the Show results until after this Saturday's 3rd and final show. If you absolutely have to know the current standings, you can call me and I will tell you how it all is shaking out. I'd prefer if you'd come to Amherst anyway and participate, regardless of the overall standings.
