Rumors

Its funny how rumors float around these big hunts.

This weekend i was at St. Jude shootin the bull with some folks i know, and some folks i met on here. this fella comes up and we're talkin about first one thing, then another. Well, a man walks by with a Wipeout Zack pup, and the discussion immediatly shifts toward the "Wipeout"dogs. I said, "yeah i like some of the pups ive seen off Moose,"

and the fella says to me,

"Yeah, ive hunted with the Death Wish dog(which struck me odd b/c we were talking about Wipeout dogs, and so far as i know Deathwish is off Rat Attack). I really dont see what all the fuss is about. I know the dog has won alot, but 'Wish didnt impress me. Yeah i drew out with "HIM" the night they sold "HIM". By the time we got through HE had 500-, and when we got back to the club they SOLD "HIM" to a pleasure hunter for $30,000."

LOL, now correct me if I'm wrong, but Deathwish is not a "HIM", but a "HER", and as far as I know she has not been sold.

People really should get their lies straight, before they flap their jaws.

I guess it shouldnt suprise me that he was running the dog down, but i guess i give some people too much credit.

According to Terry Walker, ( who was her owner) she was sold to Randy Hampton of Blairville, Ga. Didn't say how much and I don't figure it's any of my business. The dog is a female. Thier new project is a female called Wicked Wanda.

What Wicked Wanda female is this???

Im curious if it is the Wicked Wanda II female i have a full littermate. I know the original Hancock's Wicked Wanda is probably not it.

Let me know if you find out.

Thanks, Russell

There was a "RUMOR" that Salt Creek Jenni sold for $40,000.

In some cases i believe people claim dogs sold for an outrageous amount to spark an interest in breeding.

jenni died a year or 2 ago at a hunt down in georgia. i only got to hunt with her one night, but she put on the best single night performance i ever saw out of a dog.

Joey, there was a Bluetick,

out in the Texas, Oklahoma area, that supposedly sold in the $40,000 to $60,000 range, depending on who you talked too? This was back around the 70's, or 80's if I remember right.

I forget the dogs full name, but I think it was Fleetwoods something or other?

As Russell stated about RUMORS, but this is what I was told several times, but it's still a RUMOR.

Marv, as Rance said she is no longer with us. She got hit on the road during a PKC hunt. At that time she was owned by two wonderful folks Krenson & Jenifer Kniphfer of Brooklet, Georgia. She never had any pups, it was always the plan to breed her to Habit before he got killed, and after that it just never happened.

I miss her every time I go hunting. I would love to have one out of Jenni just like her, HECK I would love to have one outta’ anything just like her no matter what breed or color...

Salt Creek Jenni

I was told Jenni would of won the UKC world hunt a few years back but the handler made a bad call. Not sure if it's true, maybe just another rumor?? I'm sure Jerry could answer that.. Jerry??

Ben, that rumor is mostly TRUE. It was much more of a stupid, dim-witted call than a bad call

Posted by on 02-04-2009 05:41 PM:

She SHOULD have won 2 World Hunts, one in PKC and one in UKC.

Posted by Lakeland Kennel on 02-04-2009 05:49 PM:

The Plott that sold for big money was one of Everet Weems of Salem, Illinois bear dogs and I know it was sold to a rich Japanese fellow and sent to Japan. Anyone that knew Everet would tell you it was true.

As I said on another thread, there are folks that believe the only time you can believe a coon hunter is when he calls another coon hunter a liar. The same thing is often said about fishermen.

Shouda – woulda – coulda, she didn’t.

Jenni was a high percentage cast winner and I had her handicapped as the handler. She normally made up for my mistakes. The best streak her and I had was eighteen cast wins in a row. That’s a ton of Jerry mistakes to make up for in a short time period

Thats a fun ride when you get on a streak like that. I won 14 in a row with Flash at one time, felt I couldn't be beat, lost my next 5
