Figure it out let me know!!!! Seriously though the people I know like that have worked their butts off and use vacation earned through years of service or have been seriously injured at work. Either way, with all the worthless dopes using that money for drugs, and doubling that money by dealing, I'd say fishing, mushroom, and coon hunting is just fine!

I was talking to a buddy this morning while me and him was turkey hunting. He's disabled. Can't walk 50 yards without falling out nearly. Only 10% of heart left. We heard one close and he couldn't even get up the bank to try and call him in. He said it took him forever and a day to get disability. Really don't even get enough to live on. He's one of the ones that really needs it. He'd much rather be working. I do know others on it that have no business being on it!!! If you can do all this stuff. You can work!

cases actually been made against hunters collecting disability...i remember one was a moose hunt...guy drew a main tag or somewhere it was a big deal...he wasnt missing the hunt....got busted....as said, if you can moose hunt you can work...

I know a guy that gets a check every month and hes supposedly disabled and its more of a mental disability but he coonhunts all the time, drives a truck, and CARRYS a PISTOL !!!!!

it can all be fixed, or at least a patch job put on it. When we see something illegal like the one explained, report it. this election year, changes some faces...some things are simple. get rid of obama, report the wrong do'ers, and it may continue, but we'll feell better about it.

I still like the idea of giving a monthly drug screening to anyone receiving state or federal assistance and put a timeline on welfare. If you actually LOOK for work you should find it in a few years time.

I agree with this for welfare and food stamps, WIC, pretty much anything besides permanent disability.

My best friend since we where in middle school has 100% disability after coming home from a tour in Iraq with the Marine Corps. Is he physically disabled? NO. Not in any signifigant way anyhow. Is he perfectly capable of working and hunting and fishing yes. But he does have very deep and painful emotional wounds. I agree with the doctors who decided he should have a full disablity. He did not like the way that those drugs made him feel like a zombie and made him a different person. The marijuana he simply smokes right before he goes to bed and sleeps like a baby. The rest of the day he leaves it alone and works hard on projects around the house and on his truck and helps out his elderly father. I would much rather him smoke a little pot once a night then drink himself to death like so many veterans from past generations. By the way he lives in a state where medical marijuana is legal but his distrust of the government keeps him from getting a legal prescription. He would rather just take care of himself as he sees fit and keep his name off of a list of medical marijauna users. Next chance you get thank a Vet it is horrible what many of them had to see and be put threw to keep us safe.

I have an ex girlfriend who gets a check every month forvbeing "mentally disabled" in reality shes fine. Spends most of the money on liquor and pot.
I have a cousin who was in a serious car accident. Can barely see or walk at all and a long list of other problems. She also gets a check... guess who's is larger? The ex girlfriends by a lot.

I gotta disagree. Everything I know about coonhuntin, I learned from my Uncle. He is now in a wheel chair and is in such severe pain that he couldn't attempt to work, but I do my best to make sure he gets to go coon huntin with me every weekend. Just my two cents.
