Please Pray for Wayne Baker & Family

I got a call from Wayne this morning informing me, that his wife of 63 yrs., had passed away today. She had been sick for several weeks, and the family knew that it was serious, but there's really no way to prepare yourself for that moment. The viewing will be tomorrow night at Pinnacle View Baptist Church, and the funeral will be Friday, at either 2 or 3 pm.

They have asked me to conduct the service, so pray for me as well, that God would enable me to comfort them.

Wayne has been a " Blueticker" for many years. He has quite hunting because of his health, but still attends the hunting events, just to see old friends and make new ones.

Wayne is a great guy, and needs your prayers at this time.

For those of you that don't know Wayne, you might have heard of Gr.Nt.Ch. Bakers Pistol Pete. Pete was born in Wayne's kennel, as was Matt Turner's Stinger dog. Brent Lipscomb's dog ( the one he advertised at stud) was out of Baker's Kandy.

Wayne was a good friend to my father. He actually gave me my first blue puppy that I could call my own! He is a real gentleman. I am sorry to hear about his loss. I saw him at the BBOA reunion last spring. Rev. Edwards do you have an address. I would like to send him a card!

Our prayers are with you and your family.I never met Wayne but I have some dogs with his breeding and they are good.

Our prayers are with Wayne and his family, his daughters have spent a great deal of time at the hospital with her the last two weeks.Wayne has been down a few weeks himself.Wayne has been a true friend since the first time I met him in Van Wert Ohio 1989 -1990 and has been their for me when I had a question about breeding of hounds.

We are sending prayers for the Baker family and friends. We are so sincerely sorry to hear of Mrs Baker's passing....

Just left the home. Wayne is heart broken. He is hurting so bad inside, and there's nothing we can do but pray, and be there for him. I will make sure he sees all of the responses, and expressions of sympathy.

The funeral will be Friday, 2:00p.m. at the Pinnacle View Baptist Ch.. The viewing will be tomorrow night at the church for 6-9 p.m..

Bob was just able to hear about this... He adds extra prayers for the future for Wayne. When Bob's beloved wife, Shelley died at 41 he was devestated, left with 2 young boys and sure he had no future. It was a hard time for him and it was very hard for me to meet him again(we were childhood friends)... and see him hurting so much... Anyway Bob knows first hand how hard it is for a man to lose a wife so I Know that he will pray HARD....

im so sorry to hear the news. Wayne your in our thoughts and prayers... Ronald......

I orginally posted in the bluetick classified because Wayne hunted, and promoted bluetick hounds. He made, I believe, a real contribution to the breed.

The thread was moved, and that's fine, to Coonhounds. Everyone that knows Wayne knows what a great guy he is. He had already reserved two rooms for the Grand American. He always attends the larger hunts, and the bluetick hunts.

I offered to give Wayne a dog, if nothing else just for company, and he said he would probably never get back into hunting, or own another hound.

The service for his wife, Jewel, is tomorrow at 2:00 pm.. Thanks again for every kind word, and your prayers. I told Wayne about the response, and that I wanted him to see what everyone had to say.
