LUCKY!
You SOutherners... making our mouths water! We are doing some tomatoes this yr... and they are green but plentiful. All little ones, cherries, grapes and ROmas... DYING for a ripe one....did have one nearly ripe...was a big "Charlie Brown" sort of plant... came from local plant stand our son works for... a real reject with 2 maters on it... and darned if that nearly ripe one didn't fall off in a storm a couple nights ago.. and get big worm holes... our little HandiHen(she has 3/4 and 1/2 legs...a bit of an amputee of sorts)... LOVE the thing! LOL....
NOW... we have had a mighty awesome Black raspberry season. The mulberries were tasteless but the dawgs, chickens squirrels and coon LOVED them... Next come blackeberries(YUCK)... and my boys will all love them...and the chickens.... and the coon too I bet.... Bob has been plucking tart baby apples to eat(YUCK!) they pucker your WHOLE face, even your ears....
We buy from a local farm so Bob has started making Pesto with nice local basil and garlic to fill the freezer! YUM! He grew some beets but... I won't even LOOK at those...LOL...
I envy all you REAL farmers! You are SO lucky to reap the rewards of your hard work!

How 'bout give me your recipe! Cooter (pronounced like foot) stew season is over around here 'cause you got to catch 'em walkin up the hill in April or 1st of May. If they're moving down the hill, they have already layed. But there are some snappers around and I understand they have more meat on them.
Thanks, You can PM me if you don't want the world to know your recipe.
lol I'll have to ask mom how she does it.... She sent it over ....
